Next to Nothing

The most productive part of the day for me, musically speaking, is the early morning.  That is when the veil that separates the conscious from the unconscious in it's thinnest and most permeable state.  One morning a few months ago, I woke up before first light, walked into my living room, lit a candle, turned on the keyboard, hit the record button and played what you hear here.  No overdubs, no refinements.  Just the original, piece with all of it's original appeal, spontaneity and flaws.  There's hardly anything going on with it musically speaking.  But I love it's simplicity.
